Anna Marie Skonieczny attended Darlene Cooley-Williams' recent seminar sponsored by the Decatur Porcelain Arts Guild and painted this beautiful horse:
The name of the horse is Deevine.  It took 5 firings to achieve the final painting.

Hello, fellow china painters,
I'm in the process of collecting photos of competition pieces from local club members as well as photos from recent seminars. (Or just any photos of pieces that you've recently completed and want to share!)

Darlene Cooley Williams recently conducted a seminar on painting animals and pets.  If you attended please forward to me a photo of your piece.  Here are a few that I've recently received:

Huntsville Guild Updates:
Betty Willis' piece won the Museum Competition at the January meeting.  I'll try to get a photo to post.

The Huntsville Club will host a Silent Auction at the February meeting.  In years past wonderful items were sold at very, very rea$onable price$ so be sure to donate, attend and bid.  The meeting will be held on Friday, Feb. 12th at 9:15 a.m. at the Huntsville Senior Center on Drake Avenue.

Brenda Holmes announced that the subject for the Huntsville Club's Challenge Piece (due at the April meeting) will be butterflies or dragonflies.  There are sure to be many beautiful and creative pieces submitted.

Happy New Year, North Alabama china painters!

On New Year's Eve several members of the Huntsville Porcelain Arts Club met at the Huntsville Main Library and filled a display case with members' treasures.
